1. 1. Từ vựng theo chủ đề (Unit 7–12)

   • Unit 7 · Environmental Protection

     pollution, habitat, endangered species, carbon footprint, ecosystem, wildlife, global warming, protect, release, reduce, recycle.

   • Unit 8 · Shopping

     shopping centre, convenience store, open-air market, online shopping, discount, price tag, bargain, browse, customer, be addicted to.

   • Unit 9 · Natural Disasters

     earthquake, flood, storm, tornado, landslide, volcanic eruption, forest fire, victim, shelter, rescue worker, warn, damage.

   • Unit 10 · Communication in the Future

2. 2. Ngữ pháp Unit 7–9

   • Câu phức – mệnh đề trạng ngữ thời gian (Unit 7)

     • Liên từ chỉ thời gian

       when, while, before, after, until, as soon as. Mệnh đề phụ đứng đầu câu thì có dấu phẩy. VD: When you leave the room, turn off the lights.

     • Không dùng will sau liên từ thời gian

       Nói về tương lai, mệnh đề thời gian chia hiện tại đơn. VD: I will call you as soon as I get home (không viết “will get”).

   • Trạng từ chỉ tần suất (Unit 8)

     always > usually > often > sometimes > rarely/seldom > never. Đứng trước động từ thường, sau be. VD: She rarely shops online. He is never late.

   • Hiện tại đơn chỉ tương lai (Unit 8)

     Dùng cho lịch trình, thời gian biểu cố định. VD: The supermarket opens at 8 a.m. tomorrow. The sale starts next Monday.

   • Quá khứ tiếp diễn (Unit 9)

     S + was/were + V-ing — việc đang diễn ra tại một thời điểm trong quá khứ.

     • Tại thời điểm xác định

       VD: At 8 p.m. yesterday, we were watching the storm news. Dấu hiệu: at that time, at + giờ + yesterday.

     • Bị hành động khác xen vào

       QKTD (việc đang làm) + when + QKĐ (việc chen ngang). VD: We were having dinner when the earthquake started.

     • Hai việc song song

       While + QKTD, QKTD. VD: While Dad was moving the furniture, Mum was packing food.

3. 3. Ngữ pháp Unit 10–12

   • Giới từ thời gian & nơi chốn (Unit 10)

     in / on / at; by 2030 (không muộn hơn), from… to…, during, between, next to, opposite, in front of. VD: We'll meet in front of the library at 9 a.m.

   • Đại từ sở hữu (Unit 10)

     mine, yours, his, hers, ours, theirs — thay cho tính từ sở hữu + danh từ. VD: My phone is old, but hers is new.

   • Câu tường thuật – câu kể (Unit 11)

     S + said (that) + S + V lùi thì; S + told + O + (that)…

     • Lùi thì

       hiện tại đơn → quá khứ đơn; hiện tại tiếp diễn → quá khứ tiếp diễn; will → would; can → could. VD: “I like robots,” he said. → He said (that) he liked robots.

     • Đổi đại từ, trạng từ

       I → he/she; my → his/her; now → then; today → that day; tomorrow → the next day; here → there; this → that.

   • Câu tường thuật – câu hỏi (Unit 12)

     • Câu hỏi Yes/No

       S + asked (+ O) + if / whether + S + V lùi thì. VD: “Are aliens real?” she asked. → She asked if aliens were real.

     • Câu hỏi Wh-

       S + asked (+ O) + từ để hỏi + S + V (không đảo trợ động từ). VD: “Where do you live?” → He asked me where I lived.

4. 4. Ngữ âm

   • /bl/ và /kl/ (Unit 7)

     /bl/: blue, black, block, problem; /kl/: clean, climate, clothes, clear.

   • /sp/ và /st/ (Unit 8)

     /sp/: spend, special, sports, speaker; /st/: store, street, stall, staff.

   • Trọng âm từ có đuôi -al, -ous (Unit 9)

     -al, -ous không nhận trọng âm, giữ trọng âm từ gốc: 'nature → 'natural, 'danger → 'dangerous. Với -ial, -ious nhấn âm ngay trước: me'morial, mys'terious.

   • Trọng âm từ có đuôi -ese, -ee (Unit 10)

     Nhấn vào chính đuôi: Japa'nese, Vietna'mese, employ'ee, refu'gee. Ngoại lệ: com'mittee, 'coffee.

   • Trọng âm câu (Unit 11)

     Nhấn từ nội dung (danh từ, động từ chính, tính từ, trạng từ); đọc nhẹ từ chức năng (a, the, to, and, is). VD: 'Robots can 'help us 'clean the 'house.

   • Ngữ điệu khi liệt kê (Unit 12)

     Lên giọng ở mỗi mục, xuống giọng ở mục cuối. VD: We need food ↗, water ↗ and oxygen ↘.

   • Mua sắm

     How much is it / are they? Can I try it on? Do you have it in a smaller size? Is there any discount?

   • Bày tỏ lo lắng, trấn an

     I'm worried about the storm. – Don't worry. Everything will be fine. / I hope everyone is safe.

   • Hỏi ý kiến, đồng tình

     What do you think about…? – I totally agree. / I'm not sure about that. / That's a good point.

   • Nói về bảo vệ môi trường

     We should… / Let's… / It's important to + V. VD: It's important to reduce plastic waste.

6. 6. Ôn nhanh HK I & kỹ năng

   • Ôn ngữ pháp HK I

     Động từ chỉ sự yêu ghét + V-ing/to V; so sánh hơn của trạng từ; câu đơn, câu ghép; danh từ đếm được/không đếm được; câu điều kiện loại 1.

   • Viết lại câu – tường thuật

     Chuyển trực tiếp ↔ gián tiếp, kiểm tra 3 bước: lùi thì, đổi đại từ và trạng từ, trật tự S + V trong câu hỏi gián tiếp.

   • Nối câu bằng liên từ thời gian

     The storm came. We were sleeping. → We were sleeping when the storm came. / Finish homework, then go out. → Go out after you finish your homework.

   • Đọc hiểu

     Xác định ý chính từng đoạn; câu hỏi chi tiết tìm từ khoá hoặc từ đồng nghĩa trong bài; câu “NOT mentioned” loại trừ từng đáp án.
