     • Giới thiệu bản thân

       Can you tell me about yourself? – I'm Mai. I'm in Class 5A. I live in the countryside. (Bạn kể về mình được không?)

     • What's your favourite…?

       What's your favourite colour? – It's pink. What's your favourite animal? – It's a dolphin. (cá heo)

   • Unit 2 · Our homes

     • Do you live in…?

       Do you live in this building? – Yes, I do. / No, I don't. Nhà ở: house, flat (căn hộ), building (toà nhà), tower (toà tháp).

     • What's your address?

       What's your address? – It's 38 Tran Phu Street. (Địa chỉ của bạn là gì? – Số 38 đường Trần Phú.)

   • Unit 3 · My foreign friends

     • Hỏi quốc tịch

       What nationality is she? – She's Japanese. (Cô ấy quốc tịch gì? – Cô ấy là người Nhật.) American, Australian, Malaysian.

       What do you do at the weekend? – I often ride my bike. always > usually > often > sometimes > never; đứng trước động từ thường.

       What would you like to be in the future? – I'd like to be a firefighter. (Sau này bạn muốn làm nghề gì?)

     • Vì sao chọn nghề đó?

       Why would you like to be a gardener? – Because I'd like to grow flowers. (Vì tớ muốn trồng hoa.)

     • Phòng ở tầng mấy?

       Where's the library? – It's on the second floor. ground floor (tầng trệt), first / second / third floor (tầng 1 / 2 / 3).

       Could you tell me the way to the art room, please? – Go upstairs. / Go along the corridor and turn left.

       Where are the pencils? – They're beside the book. Giới từ: beside, under, above, in front of, behind.

       Whose crayon is this? – It's Bill's. (Bút sáp này của ai? – Của Bill.) Sở hữu: tên + 's.

4. 4. Unit 9–10: Chuyện đã qua

   • Unit 9 · Our outdoor activities

     • Hôm qua ở đâu?

       Were you at the aquarium yesterday? – Yes, we were. / No, we weren't. Where were you last Sunday? – We were at the campsite.

     • Đã làm gì?

       What did you do yesterday? – We played chess. / We listened to music. (Hôm qua các bạn đã làm gì?)

     • Câu hỏi với Did

       Did they go to Ha Long Bay? – Yes, they did. / No, they didn't. (Họ có đi vịnh Hạ Long không?)

     • Họ đã làm gì ở đó?

       What did they do there? – They visited the old buildings. / They planted trees. (Họ đã làm gì ở đó?)

5. 5. Ngữ pháp cần nắm chắc

   • like + V-ing

     I like playing the violin. She likes reading books. Sau like, love dùng V-ing.

   • would like to + V

     I'd like to be a doctor. (I'd = I would: Tớ muốn trở thành bác sĩ.) Sau to là động từ nguyên mẫu.

   • Quá khứ của be

     I / He / She / It was; You / We / They were. Phủ định: wasn't, weren't.

   • Động từ có quy tắc + -ed

     play → played, visit → visited, plant → planted; dance → danced (đã có e chỉ thêm -d).

   • Did + V nguyên mẫu

     Did you go…? – Yes, I did. / No, I didn't. Trong câu hỏi với did, động từ trở về nguyên mẫu: go (không phải went).

6. 6. Phát âm & kĩ năng

   • Đuôi -ed: /t/, /d/, /ɪd/

     /t/: danced, walked; /d/: played, listened; /ɪd/ sau âm t, d: visited, planted.

   • Ngữ điệu câu hỏi

     Did you…? / Were you…? lên giọng ở cuối ↗; What, Where, Why… thường xuống giọng ↘.

   • Đọc hiểu

     Đọc câu hỏi trước, gạch chân từ để hỏi (Where, What, Why, Whose) rồi tìm thông tin tương ứng trong bài.

   • Viết về chuyến đi

     Last week, my class went to Hoan Kiem Lake. We walked around the lake and visited the temple. It was fun!
