       Where were you last summer? – We were in Nha Trang. When did you go there? – Last July. (Hè năm ngoái bạn ở đâu?)

     • Đã làm gì?

       What did your family do there? – We took a boat trip and ate seafood. (take → took, eat → ate)

   • Unit 12 · Our Tet holiday

     • Will you…?

       Will you make banh chung for Tet? – Yes, I will. / No, I won't. (Bạn sẽ gói bánh chưng dịp Tết chứ?)

     • Tết sẽ đi đâu?

       What do you usually wear in winter? – I wear a jumper and jeans. (Mùa đông bạn thường mặc gì?)

     • Nhân vật chính

       Who are the main characters in the story? – They're the tortoise and the hare. (Nhân vật chính là rùa và thỏ.)

     • Kế hoạch: be going to

5. 5. Ngữ pháp trọng tâm

   • Quá khứ bất quy tắc

     go → went, eat → ate, see → saw, take → took, buy → bought, run → ran, sing → sang. Học thuộc theo cặp.

   • will / won't + V

     Việc sẽ làm trong tương lai: I'll visit my grandparents. We won't stay at home. (won't = will not)

   • be going to + V

     Kế hoạch đã định trước: I'm going to visit Hue. She's going to join a music club.

   • should / shouldn't + V

     Lời khuyên: You should drink warm water. You shouldn't eat too many sweets.

   • Trạng từ chỉ cách thức

     Tính từ + ly: beautiful → beautifully, quick → quickly. Đặc biệt: fast → fast, hard → hard, good → well.

6. 6. Phát âm & kĩ năng thi

   • Đọc số lớn

     29 = twenty-nine, 40 = forty, 100 = one hundred, 129 = one hundred and twenty-nine.

   • Trọng âm từ hai âm tiết

     Danh từ, tính từ hai âm tiết thường nhấn âm đầu: SUMmer, WINter, HEALthy, PEACEful.

   • Mẹo làm bài nghe

     Đọc trước câu hỏi, đoán loại thông tin (nơi chốn, con số, thời tiết, bệnh). Nghe từ khoá last, will, going to để biết thì.

   • Viết về kì nghỉ

     This summer, I'm going to visit Phu Quoc Island with my family. We're going to swim and eat seafood. I think it will be fun.
